It’s makeover time for the next episode of Asia’s Next Top Model! The promo for Episode 3 is already out and we have our first looks at the girls’ possible makeovers. Filipino celebrity hairstylist Lourd Ramos is in charge once again for the Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 4 makeovers.
Hey! hey! It’s officially summer and hopefully, it’ll last until May! YEY! Traveling light does not help because you end up overthinking what to put in your small backpack just for it to be under or equal 7 kg. I know. It’s really hard. Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 3 alum Amanda Chan who represented the Philippines (#PhilippinesOnTop!) last cycle is featured on the cover of this month’s issue of MITH Magazine.
Based in Los Angeles and New York, MITH is a fashion and entertainment magazine. They cover the latest stories on fashion and style with the goal of empowering young women all over the world. For their latest issue they have featured a strong, young woman who is continuing her pursuit of the dream to become the next top model, Asia’s Next Top Model’s, and our very own, Amanda Chan.
Remember young Amanda in AsNTM Cycle 3 when she was all cute and awkward when she couldn’t express how to be angry on cue? I loved her little “outburst” at the judging panel especially fueled by the harsh comments by Daniel Mananta. And who can forget this beautiful photo:
Her experience on the show certainly gave her not just a ton of exposure to the fashion industry but also a great boost of confidence to prove that, although she didn’t win her cycle, she has all the potential to become a top model someday.
I never thought that I could be a model, but due to my new-found self confidence, one of my career goals is to become a really-well known model by traveling the world and modeling in as many places as I can. In 2016 you’ll definitely see me modeling a lot more (with some big projects coming up hopefully), as well as completing university!
I wish you good luck Amanda. You have a bright future ahead of you, not just in the fashion industry, but in life in general.

50 Shades! The Musical Parody has been extended until March 20! If I were you, I’ll be running to get my tickets now! (Or just get it online, sorry, I’m trying to be fit.) I was lucky to catch one of its few remaining shows last Sunday. It was a breath of fresh air especially after watching Les Mis the night before. (I felt Eponine a little too much. #spiritanimal) I was not really expecting anything. I did manage to finish the first Fifty Shades book, but I couldn’t stand the other two so I just gave them away to charity. Kidding! Relax. I gave the books to a friend, an adult friend! I did like the movie, though it bored me in most parts except the sexy stuff, duh.
If you’re looking for something different to do this weekend, have fun with this one-of-a-kind musical that will make you laugh out loud, open your eyes, and fill that hole inside of you. Catch 50 Shades! The Musical Parody, from Vivre Fort Entertainment and 9works Theatrical, on its last week (March 18, 19, 20) at Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium, RCBC Plaza, Makati City.
