  • Introducing the Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 5 Contestants

The Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 5 contestants have already been revealed! 🙌 Here are the 14 models vying for the title of becoming Asia’s. 👏 Next. 👏 Top. 👏 Model. 👏

As I’ve already mentioned in my previous Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 5 post, we have the usual countries represented: Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia. What’s special about this cycle is that for the first time in Asia’s Next Top Model history, twins are competing, representing Indonesia. 👭 Taiwan is also back, last seen in Cycle 3.

Now let’s meet this cycle’s 14 girls. In no particular order 👀 (So please don’t go looking for a pattern like last time, okay? 😂)

If you aren’t too keen on reading long articles, I’ve prepared a video for you with all 14 girls after the cut…

  • Little Acts of Discrimination Hurt

Little acts of discrimination hurt. Yeah. They actually do. Especially if they come from people you care about the most. Not necessarily people who you least expect. But people you consider friends, family or maybe, something in between.

Little acts of discrimination is not exactly fatal but they are toxic in their own way. Toxic as in it slowly kills you nonetheless. It burns out that little faith you have left. Faith that keeps you believing that if you are at least nice and kind, people will treat you the same. Not differently.

  • Family Feuds: Riverdale 1×07 In A Lonely Place Recap

But what we don’t find out, just a heads up, is who the heck killed Jason Blossom? As usual, if you haven’t watched the episode… (Why haven’t you? It’s been out for weeks already on Netflix)

  • Amiciness Snaps: Gumamela Photo Set

I can’t help but be drawn to gumamela flowers, especially the rare colored ones like the one we have in our garden. Gumamela, or hibiscus, is common to every neighborhood in the country. It may also be extra popular because of science class. For me, it was during the third grade when our teacher asked us to bring a gumamela to school. It has all the parts of the flower: the male and female parts. It’s perfect for teaching kids about the birds and the bees without them really knowing.🌻

“Yellow is the color of joy.”
I waxed nostalgic a bit when I took these pictures. When I was younger, my siblings and I used to pound gumamelas and add the extract to water to make bubbles. *sighs* Fun and simple times. Back in the day, you have to create your toys to be entertained. Or prepare to spend a long, lazy afternoon watching noontime Mexican telenovelas and Pira-pirasong Pangarap with your grandmother. You got me. I like the latter too.

Anyway, here’s my very first photo set using my new Fujifilm X-T20 16-50mm Kit. I hope you’ll be able to feel the story and the emotions I wanted to convey. 📸
