• Tiff & Jay’s Growing Up Video

Amiciness is venturing on a new business. We are now producing growing up videos for weddings, debut parties and other occasions.

A friend of mine, Tiff has asked me to make her and her then fiance (now husband) a growing up slideshow. We actually got paid for it. It was one of the first times I got paid for doing something I love.

Watching the video over and over again during editing made me realize how love moves in mysterious ways (pun not intended). That like Tiff and Jay, we walk in this earth in parallel until it’s time we’re ready to cross paths.

  • Miss Universe 2017 Q&A: Miss South Africa Demi Leigh Wins

The 66th Miss Universe just wrapped up and many have already posted their “‘wag muna magpaparlor statuses” because Miss Philippines Rachel Peters didn’t make the top 5. Geez, gay people have other professions too, you know. Anyway, like last year and the year before that, Amiciness transcribed all the Q and A from the most awaited pageant in the universe as accurately as possible. I thank you.

    Miss Universe Top 5 Q&A

The 92 candidates of the 2017 Miss Universe (the highest attendance in the pageant’s history) were whittled down to the Top 16 for the swimsuit round, down to the Top 10 for the evening gown round, and to the Top 5 for the all-important Q&A. The last 5 standing were: South Africa, Venezuela, Thailand, Jamaica and Colombia. Here’s how they answered the Q&A:

  • Chill Trip to Bacolod

Okay, this is a very, VERY late post. Early this year, I went to Bacolod with friends to spend a long weekend there. Our plan was simple. We just wanted to stay on the beach, drink and eat! No extreme activity unlike the last time 🙄.

We went straight to our hotel to spend the night but I took time to take some photos at Bacolod Public Plaza. Why doesn’t Metro Manila have more plazas anymore? I’m so inggit. 😪

  • Quick Art Tips for A More Creative You

I have been doing art ever since I could remember. My brother and I used to make still-life drawings and paintings instead of sleeping at siesta time (to our grandmother’s dismay 😂). As we grew older, we really got into anime so after doing homework, we would sketch our favorite Ghost Fighter and Dragon Ball Z characters on our own sketchbooks. Looking back, I was lucky to have been introduced, though self-taught, (I was an eager child! 😅) to art at an early age. Life was simpler then. No internet, no need for likes and validation, just mere expression through art. ✍

Tippy Go shares how she started her career in art and blogging with an anonymous Tumblr account that starred Tipsy and Pongo.

Fast forward to today, as a young professional trying to strive in the working and blogging world, I tend to overthink whatever I create. 😱 May it be a blog post, an art piece or a mere Instagram post. I know what you’re thinking, it should all be simple. In reality or at least in my mind, it was not. (more…)
