  • Quick Art Tips for A More Creative You

I have been doing art ever since I could remember. My brother and I used to make still-life drawings and paintings instead of sleeping at siesta time (to our grandmother’s dismay 😂). As we grew older, we really got into anime so after doing homework, we would sketch our favorite Ghost Fighter and Dragon Ball Z characters on our own sketchbooks. Looking back, I was lucky to have been introduced, though self-taught, (I was an eager child! 😅) to art at an early age. Life was simpler then. No internet, no need for likes and validation, just mere expression through art. ✍

Tippy Go shares how she started her career in art and blogging with an anonymous Tumblr account that starred Tipsy and Pongo.

Fast forward to today, as a young professional trying to strive in the working and blogging world, I tend to overthink whatever I create. 😱 May it be a blog post, an art piece or a mere Instagram post. I know what you’re thinking, it should all be simple. In reality or at least in my mind, it was not. (more…)

  • Hunting Down “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo” Filming Spots in Seoul, South Korea

I was stressed the week before and during Holy Week so I did something crazy: I booked a flight bound to Seoul, the land of Kim Bok Jo , the next day! Okay, it wasn’t all that crazy. It’s just crazy for my pockets. I was crashing a Korean spring trip of my friends (who booked their tickets last year btw). Not having time to regret my decision, I had to go home straightaway and pack my bags!

My friends were going to Nami Island and considering I’ve been there three times already, I passed and decided my trip to visit all the filming locations of the latest Korean drama that I fell in love with: Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo (Korean title: 역도요정 김복주). Exploring the city alone was no problem but the fact that no one was there to take my picture made me second guess my decision. All’s good. *tears*

Here are just five of the best Kim Bok Joo filming spots that I found. Enjoy!

    1. How to Eat inside the Classroom

I was in the first grade when I first felt the need to eat during class. To not wait for recess and just eat my pandesal filled with bacon and sugar, prepared by my grandmother. Of course, this wasn’t allowed. So I put my head inside my stroller bag and took a bite of my awesome blissful sandwich. Et voila, my very own 1st grade hack!

  • OPPO F1s: Summer Destination

Taking a vacation leave is crucial to a twenty-something middle class worker like me. Whether it’s one day, a couple of days or a week, it’s the time to unwind after the daily 8 to 5 grind of earning moolah. That’s why I’m so excited as I booked a trip to my summer destination: South Korea 🇰🇷. Yes, I know I’ve been there thrice already but before you say, “Korea na naman!?” Let me explain first. 😅
